On Tuesday, February 28, 2017, Mrs. E. Elizabeth Brown, age 107, obeyed the call of her Master and took flight from her home in Drakes Branch to rest safely in the arms of Jesus. Elizabeth was born on September 18, 1909 to the late Essie Carrington and Eliza Pulliam.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Dick Roberts, second husband Richard Brown, and her five children; Annie Gracie, Elizabeth, William Henry, Sydney Walter, and Charlie Lewis. She leaves to cherish her memory, one adopted son, James Brown of Hopewell; 38 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; one devoted and loving caregiver, Terry Hurt.

Celebration of Life Services were held Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the Shiloh Baptist Church in Drakes Branch, with interment in the church cemetery.
