The 2016-17 season came to an end for Randolph-Henry High School’s varsity girls basketball team Thursday when the eighth-seeded Lady Statesmen lost 60-5 to host and top-seeded Nottoway High School in the Quad Rivers Conference 34 tournament quarterfinals.

The Lady Cougars went on to win the tournament.

The Lady Statesmen struggled this season, finishing with an overall record of 0-18, but they also showed strength and impressive effort despite the circumstances.
