On Wednesday, January 18, 2017, God called Frances Dailey Winn from labor to reward. The sixth of seven children, she was born to the late James Ethel Dailey on June 28, 1932 in Saxe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie, her daughter, Joann and grandsons, Vincent and David.

She raised her family in Jersey City, New Jersey and later retired back home to Charlotte County.

Frances leaves to cherish her memory, three children, Joyce McCree of Newark, NJ, Russell Winn (Bell) of Jersey City, NJ, and David Winn (Beverly) of Newport News; six grandchildren, Danielle, Sharmaine, Clyde, Rozlyn, Terese and Tierra; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Pattie McCrewell; two sisters-in-law, Sarah Dailey and Martha Dailey Washington; one brother-in-law, John Giles; numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services were held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 24 at Rocky Branch Baptist Church, in Red Oak, with interment in the church cemetery.
