JANUARY 26

INTERNET SAFETY, 7 p.m. at the Randolph-Henry High School Auditorium. Charlotte County Public Schools will present an online safety presentation for adults only. Issues covered will include digital citizenship, cyberbullying, inappropriate content, online solicitation, online privacy and solutions for safety.

JANUARY 28

USDA FOOD DISTRIBUTION, 8:30-10:30 a.m. at St. Luke COGIC in Keysville. The church is located at 95 Arvin St.

JANUARY 29

GOSPEL SINGING, 11 a.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church in Keysville. The event will feature True Spirit Gospel Band of Richmond. A covered dish luncheon will follow. Everyone is invited. Union Grove Baptist is located at 2006 County Line Road. For more information, please call (434) 736-9970.

BOOK SIGNING, 1-3 p.m. at the Charlotte County Historical and Genealogical Society. Join author Tim Davis to celebrate the release of his debut book, “Blue Ridge Heartman, Something for everyone.” The society is located at 4849 Main St. in Drakes Branch.

FEBRUARY 7

BEEKEEPING COURSE, 7-9 p.m. on Tuesdays at the Prince Edward Extension Office. This course is specifically designed for those who intend to start honeybee colonies. Material covered will include the history of honeybees, bee life cycle, seasonal management, equipment and supplies needed, integrated and sustainable management techniques, as well as hands-on session for establishing new colonies. Tuition of $100 per family unit includes three textbooks, course notebook and CD with presentation summaries, additional resources and one year’s membership in a beekeeping club. BLOOD DRIVE, 1-6 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Red Oak. The American Red Cross will hold the blood drive and Salem Baptist Church in Red Oak is the sponsor. Antioch Baptist Church is located at 6700 Barnesville Hwy.
