Randolph-Henry varsity boys fall to Central, Bluestone

The Randolph-Henry High School varsity boys basketball team suffered two losses after its season-opening win against Gretna High School on Nov. 28.

The Statesmen lost 57-47 to visiting Central Lunenburg High School on Nov. 30. They struggled offensively, except for junior Tremaine Pugh, who poured in 32 points.

On Friday, the Statesmen rallied to make things close at Bluestone High School but fell 66-63.

They were led by Pugh and senior Jesse Redd, who scored 21 points apiece.

Randolph-Henry (1-2) hosts Amelia County High School on Friday and Cumberland High School on Tuesday, both at 7 p.m.
