NOVEMBER 10

FOOD DRIVE, at Charlotte Primary Care. Non-perishable food items are currently being accepted until Nov. 10. All donations will be provide food for fellow Virginians through Feed More.

NOVEMBER 11

VETERANS PROGRAM, 9:30 a.m. at the Central Middle School gymnasium. A light breakfast will be provided at 9 a.m. Dress is military attire or casual. Feel free to bring a guest.

NOVEMBER 12

COMMUNITY FUNDRAISER DAY, 10 a.m.-until in Aspen at Florine’s Store. All proceeds go to the Phenix Volunteer Fire Department. Dinner plates will be available for $8, including a meat and two sides. PHENIX PTO FUNDRAISER, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at Phenix Elementary School. The event will feature a hot dog, stew and bake sale. Stewmaster will be Papa Earl Southall. Price is $7 a quart. All proceeds will benefit the Phenix PTO.

NOVEMBER 13

PASTOR’S AIDE ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Wylliesburg. Enjoy gospel singing in the afternoon. Everyone is invited.

FRIENDLY FIVE OF CREWE, 3 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Brookneal. The concert is sponsor by the Pastor’s Aide Society. The public is invited.

USHER MINISTRY ANNIVERSARY, 3 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Keysville. Guest groups will be appearing on this program. All are invited.

NOVEMBER 15

CHARLOTTE COUNTY GRAYS MEETING, 6:30 p.m. at Sheldon’s Restaurant in Keysville. Compatriot Gary Hall of North Carolina will provide the program for the meeting. For more information concerning this meeting or about becoming a member call (434) 735-8415 or (434) 696-2202.

NOVEMBER 19

MISS CHARLOTTE COUNTY PAGEANT, 7 p.m. in the Randolph-Henry High School Auditorium. The pageant is sponsored by the Randolph-Henry Band Boosters. Applications are available in every school office. There is a $50 entrance fee and all applications must be turned in by Nov. 9. A $25 late fee will be added to any entry form not turned in by Nov. 9. DECEMBER 2

CHRISTMAS PARADE, 7 p.m. in the town of Keysville. Line up will begin at 6 p.m. Registration forms are available online at www.townofkeysville.com, or at the town office at 120 J St. in Keysville. DECEMBER 7

SHRINERS SEAFOOD FESTIVAL, 5:30-8 p.m. at Golden Leaf Warehouse in South Hill. The cost is only $25 and all net proceeds go to the Shriners Children’s Hospitals. For tickets or information call Chuck Ryan at (434) 210-6035.

JANUARY 15

COAT DRIVE, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Mt. Ellis Baptist Church in Keysville. The drive is sponsored by The Kappa Rho Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. The community is being asked to donate new and used coats, hats, gloves, scarves and other winter items for children and adults. The drive will run until January 15.
