Donald Rodney Stone, of Red Oak, passed away October 15, 2016. He was born in Halifax County on March 9, 1968 and was 48 years old. He was the son of the late Donald Roger Stone and Ellen Card Stone who survives.

He was a member of Public Fork Christian Church.

Mr. Stone is survived by one son, Dexter Stone of Nathalie; one daughter, Simone Stone of Nathalie; his mother, Ellen Card Stone of Blackstone; one brother, David Ryan Stone and wife, Kelly of Red Oak; one sister, Nikki Edmonds and husband, Willie of Blackstone; nephew, Bryson Stone; one niece, Kaylen Stone Cousin; lifelong friend, R.B. Howerton Jr. and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Roger Stone, grandmother, Margaret Anderson, and great-grandparents, Fletcher (Papa) and Maggie (Minnie Ma) Collie

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 21 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Public Fork Christian Church.
