Project improves our community

If Charlotte Court House didn’t look good already, the sidewalk project is making it even better.

According to Karen Price, Charlotte Court House town clerk, the new sidewalks could possibly be complete by October or November. After that, residents can use the completed project for exercising around town, or just walking down to Dollar General from uptown.

This is wonderful news for our community because the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT)-funded project will help our residents have a safer walkway around that part of town.

Previously, one would have to walk on the side of the road, endangering them to passing cars.

Now, our community can rest assured that they have a safer method to walk on that side of town.

We would like to applaud VDOT and the Town of Charlotte Court House for bringing this addition to our community, and for striving to continue to make the town a safer and more welcoming place — not only for residents of the community, but for all bypassers that may stop in Charlotte Court House.

The town is looking better and better each day, and we cannot wait to see the finished project.
