The Drakes Branch Volunteer Fire Department responded to several calls over the past three months.

“At our last regular meeting, the membership voted to begin publishing a monthly activity report in The Charlotte Gazette. The purpose of the activity report will be to keep citizens informed of what we are doing in hopes of a more transparent department,” said Department Chief Kenny Tharpe.

“We are also inviting the general public to attend our monthly meetings held on the second Monday of every month at 7 p.m. After all, it is your department. As always, thank you for your support.”
