Birthday wishes to Shirley Jones, Aug. 3, Randolph; Eileen Brewer, Aug. 3, Saxe; Kavonta Faulkner, Aug. 4, Charlotte Court House; Joseph Hall, Aug. 5, Charlotte Court House; Cindy Mithel, Aug. 6, Charlotte Court House; Ira Foster and twin Irene Lacks, Aug. 8, Clover; and Jaylen Pugh, Aug. 9, Augusta, Ga.

Have an amazing birthday! It only comes one day a year, so do something to make it memorable. Happy birthday!

Get well wishes to all of the sick and shut-in. I hope you are up and well soon. You are in our thoughts and prayers. Remember, to take everything one day at a time; and in no time, you will be completely healthy and smiling once again.

Anniversary wishes to Paul and Marie Walton, Aug. 8, 13 years, Drakes Branch. I wish you many more happy years together with God’s blessings.

The anniversary of the Singing Stars Gospel Singers, of Saxe, was a success due to all of the choirs and groups that came to support their event. We appreciate your support throughout the years.

Thought for the Week: Keep people in your life that truly love you, motivate you, encourage you, inspire, enhance you and make you happy. If you have people who do none of the above, let them go.

Smiles

A smile confuses an approaching frown. A smile is a curve that sets everything straight. The world always looks brighter from behind with a smile.

Start every day with a smile. A smile is the light in the wisdom of your face, and says what’s in your heart — happy or sad, it shows on your face.

If you smile at someone, they might smile back. Wear a smile; one size fits all. A friendly look, a kindly smile and one good act can make a life worthwhile.
