Mrs. Irene Pugh McBride, age 89, formerly of Charlotte Court House, died June 12, 2016 in Bronx, New York.

She was the daughter of the late Lucy Reed Pugh and Emmett Pugh and was married to the late Peter McBride.

She is survived by her children: Gerald (Sheila) and Eugene, all of New Jersey, Benita of Virginia Beach and Ronald McBride of New York; three sisters, Lillie Mae Pugh of Charlotte Court House, Avon and Lucy “Pip” of Bronx, New York; seven grandchildren: Shannon (John) of New Mexico,Ria of Nevada, Dwayne (Shakia) of New York, Joshua of Cali, Noel of Virginia Beach. Jasmine of New York and Destiny of Connecticut; ten great grandchildren: Jaden of Nevada, Gahbriel, Devynne, Janeena, John, all of New Mexico, Asada, Gabriel, Josiah, Lila and Joshua, all of New York; sisters-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on June 18, 2016 at the family’s residence in Charlotte Court House. Arrangements by Jeffress Funeral Home of Charlotte Court House.
