Mrs. Brenda Duffey Davis, of Scottsburg, passed away June 27, 2016. She was born in Halifax County, VA on August 20, 1947, and was 68 years old.

She was the daughter of the late Berkley Duffey and the late Mary Wade Duffey. She was also married to the late Robert E. Davis.

She was a member of Blessed Hope Halifax Church. She and her husband ran Davis Fruit Stand in Scottsburg for over 30 years.

Mrs. Brenda Duffey Davis is survived by: Two sons: Stuart Ratliff and wife Wanda of South Boston, VA; Berkley (Scott) Ratliff of South Boston, VA; two daughters: Christy Walker and husband Wayne of South Boston, VA; Wendy Irby and husband Matt of South Boston, VA; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Preceded in death by her parents Berkley and Mary Wade Duffey, her husband Robert E. Davis, one son Edward Davis, two brothers Bernard Duffey and Burton Duffey, and two sisters Jean Ingram and Sylvia East.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at 11:00 A.M. at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jesse Young officiating. Burial to follow in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, June 28, 2016, from 7:00 until 8:30 P.M. at Powell Funeral Home and other times at her home of 1148 Crute Lane, Scottsburg, VA.
