The Charlotte County Grays, Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp 1964, will meet on Tuesday at Sheldon’s Restaurant in Keysville. The meeting will begin with a “Dutch Treat” meal at 6:30 p.m., followed by a short business meeting and program. The program will be on “General William Mahone at the Battle of the Crater in Petersburg, Va.,” given by Mrs. Billie Earnest. Anyone who has an interest in the history of the South and The War Between the States is welcome to attend. Of course any potential new members who are male descendants of Confederate Veterans and are also interested in studying and preserving the history and heritage of the South are also always welcome at meetings of the SCV. For more information concerning this meeting or about becoming a member, call (434) 735-8415 or (434) 696-2202.
