Edward Hudnall Colley died June 2, 2016. He was born in Charlotte County, VA to Kenneth Earl and Arlene Cheatham Colley. Edward graduated from Randolph Henry High School, Charlotte County, VA, in 1953.

He has been a resident of Newport News since 1953. He retired from Newport News Shipbuilding as a Master Shipbuilder with 41 years of service. He was a member of First Baptist Church where he was a deacon, member of the A-Team, and in the Agape II Sunday School Class. Edward was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Kenneth Earl Colley, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Baylor Clowdis.

He is survived by his wife, Christine Sears Colley; daughter, Pamela McCants; son, David B. Colley and wife, Amy; four grandchildren, Michelle McCants Adams (Brian), Erin Caitlin McCants (Marc, his daughter, Kiley), Andrew Edward Colley, and Mary Beth Parks (John). Also, he is survived by a sister, Mary Kathryn Clowdis and sister-in-law, Betty Carole Colley. A Memorial Service was held 2 p.m., Thursday, June 9, 2016 at First Baptist Church by the Rev. Brian Adams and Dr. Randy Shepley. The family received friends for one hour prior to the service.
