Briery Country Club ladies held a captain’s choice memorial tournament on April 30.

Thirty-six golfers participated for 18 holes.

Co-chairs of the tournament were Julie Overby, Amy Francisco and Susie Hampton. The greens were in excellent condition. Dennis Overby is manager of the greens.

The golfers wish to thank all of the people who made contributions, which made the tournament a success. Some of the golfers tied and score cards were matched.

First-place winners included Brenda McBride, Jean Farmer, Pam Hadskell and Tricia Tucker. Second-place winners were Linda Collie, Kay Burton, Rita Compton and Connie Pat.

Third-place winners were Marie McDaniel, Bev McElroy, Bernice Wilkerson and Ann Cole.

The memorial tournament was held in honor of the deceased lady golfers.

A contribution was made to the American Cancer Society.
