Dear Editor,

I am responding to Walt Bailey’s column (“Board members, staff aren’t politicians”) in The Charlotte Gazette last week.

First of all, I can tell you who Kay Pierantoni is. She is the granddaughter of Annie Robertson, who I knew for many years. Like her grandmother, Kay is one of the most caring, compassionate Christian women I have had the pleasure of knowing. She like so many others of us in Charlotte County, have recently been enlightened to what we believe are wrongdoings of our board of supervisors and Administrator R.B. Clark.

She, nor any of us, has any agenda except to want truth, accountability and justice. How or why you decided to discredit the truth she has discovered in bringing to the taxpayers of Charlotte County is a real question I have for you. Maybe you could tell us why you feel so grateful to them?
