William Harris of Chester and Alex Roberts of Drakes Branch were charged with robbery after a home invasion was reported on Staunton Hill Road in Aspen.

The two were arrested on Monday, April 18.

According to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department, approximately $50 was taken from the residence along with marijuana. Two guns were used in the incident, police say.

Harris and Roberts were apprehended by Charlotte County deputies after authorities met the fleeing vehicle in the Phenix area of Charlotte County and the suspects fled from the vehicle.

Police say Harris was eventually arrested at St. Louis Baptist Church and Harris turned himself in.

Both are being held at the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Department.

Harris and Roberts were charged with robbery and possession or transport of firearm by convicted felon.

Harris was charged with use or display of a firearm in the commission of felony and robbery, while Roberts was charged with robbery and use or display of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
