The next meeting of the South Central Virginia Genealogical Society will be held on Saturday, April 9 at the American Civil War Museum, located at 159 Horseshoe Road in Appomattox. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive by 1:15 p.m. so the tour can begin at 1:30 p.m. After the tour, attendees will be able to research the service of their ancestors. There will also be a demonstration by the Pallas Athena Ladies Society on how women assisted soldiers in the field. There is a charge to visit the museum. Contact Cora V.
