Presidential primaries are Tuesday

Voters across Virginia will select their choice of the Republican and Democratic nominees for President of the United States on Tuesday.
Polls in Buckingham, Cumberland and Prince Edward counties will open at 6 a.m. and will close at 7 p.m.
Though both primaries are open to all Virginia voters, voters may only vote in one primary — either the Democratic or Republican.
“Since this will be a dual primary, voters will have to choose if they wish to vote in the Democratic Primary or the Republican Primary, and they will inform the officers of election of their choice so the voter may receive the correct ballot,” said Buckingham County Voter Registrar Margaret Thomas. “State law does not allow voters to vote in two elections on the same day.”
Voters must have a valid photo ID in order to vote.
