The South Central Genealogical Society held its meeting at Charlotte Court House library at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 13.

The guest speaker was Bob Card, of Pamplin. He spoke on how to research family history.

Marriage indexes, marriage certificates, marriage licenses, cemetery records, draft cards, many registered newspaper announcement notices, death certificates, church records, period Bibles, passport applications, divorce records, wills and probate documents, dowry and pre-nup documents, census records, military records and naturalization records were all discussed.
