Dear Editor,

How often do we take people for granted and go through life with few thoughts of what another is doing, what they are doing, sometimes wondering if they even care?

I have lived in Charlotte County for 59 years and I am amazed to realize just what a great place to live and to know what great folks live here.

Recently, I was in the hospital for several days and the love and kindness that poured into my home and to me while I was there proved how much the people of the county care about others. I am so grateful for the acts of kindness shown me and my family, food, cards, phone calls, visits and most of all the many prayers that went up on our behalf.

Prayers by acquaintances as well as close family and friends were heard by God and God has answered each and every one. I am proud to be a part of such a loving, caring community. I pray God will bless each of you as He has blessed me.
