Volleyball players earn conference honors

The Randolph-Henry varsity volleyball team had four players who received Conference 37 post-season honors. Cymirra Shuford and Kimmi Horsfall both received Second-Team All-Conference honors, while Lindsey Kunath and Kierra Jones each garnered Honorable Mention recognition.

Shuford, a junior outside hitter, led the team in kills with 139, averaged 9.1 digs per match and had 31 serving aces for the year.

Horsfall, a junior libero, lead the team’s defensive effort with 10.4 digs per match. Kunath, one of only two seniors on this year’s squad, led the team in setting assists with an average of 7.7 per match while adding a team-leading 61 aces and 7.7 digs per match.

Jones, a sophomore middle hitter, was second on the team in kills with 131 and added 33 blocks and 28 aces to go along with her 92 percent serving rate.
