The Board of Directors of the Charlotte Adult Learning Center (CALC) invites you to support a great endeavor during the upcoming holiday season and save yourself time in the kitchen.
Members of the CALC board and other dedicated volunteers will be busy making, decorating and wrapping beautiful plates of cookies to be offered for sale as a fundraising activity.
These homemade goodies will be presented on a festive holiday plate, wrapped with ribbon and ready for gift-giving or simply to enjoy. Santa recently visited the Learning Center to offer advice, spread a little holiday spirit and to sample a few recipes. Jolly Ol’ Saint Nick urges everyone to support the Center and enjoy some delicious goodies.
An assortment of cookies will be used on each plate, including traditional sugar cookies, chocolate chip, spice cookies, snowballs and many others, and will sell for $10.
Interested cookie monsters need only call the Charlotte Adult Learning Center (434) 542-5782 to place an order prior to Friday, Dec. 4.
Cookies will be available for pick-up the following week at designated locations in Keysville, Drakes Branch, Phenix, Brookneal, Cullen and Red House. Patrons may also pick up their cookies at the Adult Learning Center in Charlotte Court House on designated days.
Distribution dates at these locations will be provided to each patron after the logistics have been considered following ordering.
The Charlotte Adult Learning Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving literacy within Charlotte County and also to providing a variety of adult education opportunities for citizens.
Instruction is provided cost-free for participants, due to the support of donors and grant funding sought throughout the year.
