At present, there is a gap in services between what public assistance there is and what an individual or family might need at the moment. Churches are often a place where people turn. By cooperating and supporting Operation Blessing, churches are able to know that their generosity is not abused and that available help is maximized.
Churches that support Operation Blessing may send a representative of their congregation to Operation Blessing board meetings.
Churches will also participate by providing volunteers to staff the center on days when it is open to the public.
Operation Blessing welcomes support and assistance from all persons regardless of church affiliation. For more information contact Thomas Reeves at (434) 315-1804.
