Donations will be accepted on Wednesday and Saturday of next week from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the business, located at 756 Four Locust Highway in Keysville.
Monetary donations will also be accepted and can be mailed to: Operation Blessing of Charlotte County, Inc., P.O. Box 265, Keysville, Va. 23947
Operation Blessing was formed to glorify God by caring for those in need, specifically, those with emergency needs not met by other agencies or groups. Churches are often the place where people turn. Operation Blessing is a cooperative ministry designed to bridge church outreach programs. Demonstrating and personifying the love of Christ regardless of race, religious or ethnic backgrounds is the intention of the organization.
It is Operation Blessing’s desire to be supported by local churches, businesses and interested individuals. By cooperating and supporting it, churches bring their resources collectively and therefore maximize available help to those in need. Help may include small grants for emergencies or gently used clothing or household items found at the distribution center.
Churches that desire to have active participation in Operation Blessing may appoint a director to the board. The director’s name should be submitted in writing 60 days prior to the date the person begins serving. Churches may also participate by providing volunteers to staff the center.
