Lee Hansford Snead, Sr.

Mr. Lee Hansford Snead, Sr., age 74 of Randolph, died on October 7, 2015 in South Boston, Virginia. He was the son of the late Mr. Charles Snead and Mrs. Angia Vaughters Snead. He was the husband of Mrs. Betty J. Snead.
He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Snead of the home; five children, Ruby (Melvin) Callaham of Brookneal, VA, June Snead and Tammy Snead, both of Richmond, VA, Leah Hurtt of Chesterfield, VA, and Lee Jr., of Randolph, VA; four grandchildren, De’Vonte, Darius, Damien, and Jayden Lee; and one great grandchild, Mya; brother, James Harold Snead of Bridgeport, Conn.; five sisters: Zeanelle Brogdon and Willie Cook, both of Randolph, VA, Dorothy Hall (Joe) of Charlotte Court House, VA, and Delmer Gilliam (Theodore) of Clover, VA, and Angia Wilson (James) of Lynnhaven, FL; two sisters-in-law, Eva Snead of Richmond, VA and Helen Jackson of Charlotte Court House, VA; three brothers-in-law, Elijah Harvey (Bonnie) of Phenix, VA, Cecil Harvey of Appomattox, VA, and Roosevelt Harvey of Charlotte Court House, VA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 11, 2015, 2 p.m. at the Gethsemane Presbyterian Church in Drakes Branch with internment in the Old Henry Presbyterian Cemetery in Randolph.
