Rufus H. Allen

Rufus H. Allen 90, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, October 6, 2015. Born on September 17, 1925, in Wylliesburg, Virginia, he was the son of Henry and Ruth Jones Allen. He graduated from Randolph Henry High School and attended the College of William and Mary. During World War II, he was an aviation cadet serving in the Army Air Force.

He taught Agriculture at Randolph Henry for 12 years. In 1963, he moved to Ballston Spa, NY and was one of the founders of Uni-Cell Products. After the company was sold, Rufus worked for the NY Racing Association in Saratoga Springs, until he retired.

Rufus was predeceased by his brother James R. Allen of Delaware and his sister Gladys Nelson of Ohio.

A private service with military honors will be held at the Gerald B H Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, NY.
