Staunton River Battlefield — Wealthy Wetlands

On Sunday, May 28, at 4 p.m., join a Master Naturalist in a hunt for creatures in the Staunton River Battlefield State Park wetland area. We will use binoculars and dip nets as we discover why the wetlands are rich with nature. This is a free educational program. This program is for all ages, but please, no pets.

Close-toed shoes are recommended and terrain will vary. Inclement weather may alter this tour schedule. We encourage you to call the office ahead to confirm the status of the hike. The Visitor Center can be reached at (434) 454-4312. Staunton River Battlefield State Park is located at 1035 Fort Hill Trail, Randolph, VA 23962.
