BETA induction ceremony held

BETAOn March 31, Randolph-Henry High School hosted a BETA induction ceremony. These students were recognized for academic excellence and community service. The BETA Club is sponsored by Sara Williams, a history teacher at Randolph-Henry. Refreshments were provided by our culinary arts department.

 

 

 

Team places first in contest

Randolph-Henry Cattle WorkingThe Randolph-Henry High cattle working team received first place in the Southern Piedmont Youth Cattle Working contest. Cooperative Extension agents and Adams and Adams Farm hosted the contest.

 

 

 

Duffey signs with H-SC

Jefferson DuffeyOn March 31, Jefferson Duffey, a Randolph-Henry student athlete, signed with the Hampden-Sydney Tigers. Jefferson plans to run cross country and pursue studies in the area of government. Surrounded by family and friends, Jefferson shared words of inspiration to his teammates about what they can accomplish after high school.

 

 

 

Students take part in mock interviews

On Wednesday, March 29, Randolph-Henry High students joined schools and businesses from other counties to participate in the AspHIRE: Mock Interview Day at the Southern Virginia Higher Education Center. Students dressed in business attire and attended workshops, an etiquette lunch and interviews with local businesses.

 

 

 

 

Photography class wins March Attendance Madness Bracket

Randolph-Henry High School strives to recognize and reward good attendance. For the month of March, first period classes competed against one another in a March Attendance Madness Bracket. Teachers entered the stats for each class into a shared spreadsheet and at the end of the week, the class with the highest rate of attendance would move forward in the bracket. The teachers used passing grades as a tiebreaker in the event of a tie. After five rounds of competition, they declared Alyson Napier’s Commercial Photography class the winner.
