Bobbie Lewis Thompson was born in Charlotte County to the late Marie Overbey and Albert Thompson on Feb. 22, 1949. He departed this earthly life on Thursday, March 2, following a lengthy illness. Bobbie is the eighth child of 10 siblings, four of which preceded him in death, sisters, Pearline and Anna and brothers, James and Bennett.

He attended Charlotte County Public Schools and joined Mossingford Baptist Church at an early age. He relocated to Washington, D.C. in 1968 and later to Alexandria.

Bobbie leaves behind loved ones who will forever cherish his memory, two daughters, Shiela and Gina Thompson of Olympia, Washington; sisters, Leola Jenkins (George) of Silver Spring, Maryland and Idenia Campbell of Washington, D.C.; brothers, Daniel Thompson of Lunenburg, Douglas Thompson of Hyattsville, Maryland and Leonard Thompson (Linda) of Baltimore, Maryland and a devoted nephew, Ernest Thompson of Suitland, Maryland.

Funeral Services were held Friday, March 24, at Fort Lincoln Funeral Home, Brentwood, Maryland.
