TAX SERVICE — The Tri-County Community Action Agency is offering free tax preparation services through the VITA program. To qualify, your 2022 adjusted gross income must be $59,100 or less. Current year personal income tax returns, business tax returns are limited. Federal and state tax returns will be e-filed by TCCAA. UNWIND FROM COVID — The Charlotte County Department of Social Services, located at 200 Heartland Drive in Keysville, will hold an informal meeting on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The goal is to discuss the ‘unwinding’ process following the COVID pandemic and how this will affect our community. The group will use this as a time to brainstorm and determine how we can best work together to make this an easier transition for residents.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe holds in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix worship service is at 9 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal worship service is at 11 a.m. each Sunday morning. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
