Tri-County Community Action Agency needs some help. Specifically, they’re looking for volunteers to work with the Income Tax Assistance program. The project brings in local residents to help prepare free state and federal returns for Charlotte County residents, along with residents of Halifax and Mecklenburg counties.

There are a few rules to follow. Volunteers must pass certification requirements before preparing any returns. Study materials and supplies are provided at no additional cost to the participant. Additional training will be provided to volunteers prior to the kick-off of the VITA Program. The program is set begin in February of 2022 and will continue until the close of tax season. Participants will not be compensated for volunteering.
