Randolph-Henry High School’s Virginia Teachers for Tomorrow students recently made a road trip to share the love of reading with elementary school students. On Wednesday, Nov. 8, CCPS Superintendent Dr. Mason, Mrs. Benn and her Teachers for Tomorrow students headed to Bacon District Elementary school for a visit to spend time reading and doing activities about the books they read with the students. Many of the VTfT students had never been to Bacon District Elementary before and just fell in love with the feeling of community and family they felt within the school. “One of the goals of VTfT is to create a spark of interest in high school students that they too may want to enter the field of education – and beyond that, to even return to Charlotte County Public Schools and teach,” Mrs. Benn said.
