The Word — God positions you with people who need him

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

I recently read some great questions. “Think about the people around you. What difference would it make to know that God was working there? What if you believed that God was orchestrating events to position you with people who need Him?”

The Word clearly tells us that God is always at work. In John 5:17, Jesus answered them, “My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 explains, “He has made everything appropriate in its time. He has also set eternity in their heart…” In John 6:44, Jesus says, “No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him…” Even the Holy Spirit is constantly doing the will of the Father. “When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, that is the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify about Me.”

As we look at Luke, we can be certain “Jesus came to seek and save the lost.” Therefore, Christ followers are being used through God’s working to reach out to the lost. He does the saving, and we make ourselves available.

I am not sure if you are aware in our county of the year 2022 that God is working. There are numerous reports of God working (and as I am able, I will share throughout these next few submissions).

A close friend of mine got a call that her mother had a stroke and had fallen. They were near “big town.” The mother’s arm was broken. The EMT’s could not get her stabilized and her sister called to tell my friend to come! Immediately prayer requests were sent out and people began to pray. In the meantime, her mother, being taken by ambulance to the hospital, felt the prayers. She looked down at her arm and saw the bone out. She looked down again and saw the bone was back in its place. The mother felt the Presence of the Lord and she stabilized. When the neurologist came into the emergency room, he checked her out and asked her why was she there? God still has a plan for this mother’s life. This is God working in real time and impacting one of our very own community families.

God is always working. He is working to save all that will receive and accept his wonderful gift. This week may we make ourselves available to pray, to reach out to someone, to listen to God and do whatever He would like for us to do. May we acknowledge His great work!
