Vivian Elvira McCargo, 66 of Drakes Branch, passed away on Aug. 31, in Phenix. She was the daughter of the late John Thomas Royal McCargo and Lillie Pauline Andrews McCargo.

In addition to her parents, Vivian is preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Eubanks and Pattie McCargo and brother, John Jerome McCargo Sr.

She leaves to cherish her beautiful memories and inspiring voice, a devoted family, her son, Jawon McCargo (LaKercia) of Red House; daughters, Nikisha Carter (Charles) of Crewe and Tiffany Henry (Jason) of Rustburg; grandchildren, Kahlil, Zymirah, Genesis and Jase; siblings, Gale Williams of Burkeville, Hillary McCargo Sr. (Carolyn), of Keysville, Bernadine Garner of Clarksville, Charlene Whitehead (Wayne) of Keysville, Andrea Callahan of Virginia Beach, Veronica Cummings (Randy) of Lumberton, North Carolina; sister-in-law, Joan McCargo of Keysville; a host of nieces, nephews, one whom she loved like her son, Demarco Andrews, a sister, cousin and friend, Carolyn Austin and extended family and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 8, at 1 p.m., at St. Michael Baptist Church Cemetery in Drakes Branch with interment in the church cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.JeffressFuneralHome.com.
