Luther Howard Lambert, 72 of Saxe, passed away on Sept. 8, at his residence. He was the son of the late John Milton Lambert and Victoria Mosley Lambert.

He is survived by his wife, Nan of the home; children, Luther Jr. (Cassandra) of Appomattox, Kimberly of Maryland, Michael (Summer) of Chesapeake and Lucas (Salina) of Drakes Branch; grandchildren, Bryan, Titeanna (Wayne), Kwame`, Trenquieta, LaCresha (Cris), Shyquan, Kobe, De`Alonzo, Lucas, Jr. and Orlando; great-grandchildren, Jay, Jayceon, Zyir, Gianni and Malachi; one brother, Larry (Janice) of Saxe; one brother-in-law, Tyrone White (Gloria) of Crofton, Maryland; nephews, Antwan of Lynchburg and Timmothy of Drakes Branch; a devoted cousin, Carroll Seymore (who was more like a brother) and a host of other cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, Sept. 12, at 2 p.m., at Jeffress Funeral Home Chapel in Brookneal with interment in Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Drakes Branch.
