Jeanette Crews Landrum, of Halifax, passed away on Saturday, July 23. She was born in Charlotte County on Aug. 10, 1931 and was 90 years old. She was the daughter of the late G. Everette Crews and the late Irene King Crews and was married to the late James Garland Landrum Sr.

She was a member of the South Boston Church of God where she taught Sunday school for many years and sang in the choir. She was retired from Nations Bank. She loved her flowers and tending her garden, but most especially loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one son, James Garland Landrum Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of South Boston; two grandsons, James Garland Landrum III and wife, Sherry, of Henrico and John Nicholas Landrum and wife, Eustacia, of East Machias, Maine; great grandchildren, Cora and Evelyn Landrum, of Henrico, and Addison, Lucas, Miles and Galen Landrum of East Machias, Maine and sisters, Margaret Watts of Charlottesville, Mary Oakley of Cluster Springs, Louise Bradshaw and husband, Cordell, of Raleigh, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Durelle Crews and a daughter-in-law, Gale Landrum.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 27, at 11 a.m., at South Boston Church of God, with Pastor Dave Webb officiating. Burial followed in Halifax Memorial Gardens.

The family received friends at Powell Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. and other times at the home of James and Carolyn Landrum.
