JULY 2

YARD SALE — Charlotte Learning Center, located at 395 Thomas Jefferson Highway, Suite B in Charlotte Court House is participating in the 100 Mile Yard Sale on Saturday, July 2. There will be various items for sale including food. There are still spaces available if anyone would be interested. For more information call Heather at (434) 542-5782.

JULY 3

GUEST PREACHER — On Sunday, July 3, Reverend Rosa Bedford will preach the 11 a.m. worship service at St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen.

JULY 5

BEEKEEPERS — The Heart of Virginia Beekeepers will meet at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, at the Prince Edward County Extension Office located at 100 Dominion Drive in Farmville next to Lowe’s. Beekeeper Steve Kemp will present a program on “Tips, Tricks and Hacks for Beekeepers.” Anyone who has bees or is interested in bees is welcome. BLOOD DRIVE — Midway Baptist Church located at 2595 Midway Road in Phenix will hold a Blood Drive on Tuesday, July 5, from 2 to 6 p.m.

ST. MICHAEL BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Michael Baptist Church in Drakes Branch will hold worship services the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 11 a.m. Mask are required. Rev. James E. Goode is the pastor.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold worship service the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. Sunday school will be the first, second, third and fourth Sundays at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
