The Drakes Branch Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 8902 was recognized by State Leadership at the annual convention this past weekend.

Post 8902 was awarded the 100% Membership Retention Award Plaque for renewing all annual members for the 2021- 2022 year. They did this before December 31 of last year earning certificates for Commander Butch Hamlett and his Post Quartermaster.

The post also contributed significant numbers of volunteer hours helping their community. This included everything from aiding veterans and senior citizens in need to supporting VFW youth programs like Voice of Democracy and Patriots Pen.
