Betty Colbert Colley, 87 of Brookneal, passed away Wednesday, May 25, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Kenneth Earl Colley Jr.

Betty was born in Naruna, Dec. 27, 1934, a daughter of the late Lester Colbert and Lottie Tuck Colbert. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, Kenneth E. Colley (Judy) of Eureka, W. Lynn Colley of Brookneal and J. Carroll Colley (Olga) of Arlington; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Charlotte and Beulah and two brothers, Anthony and Preston.

A funeral service was conducted at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 28, at Bethel Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at her home other times.
