The 3-D archery range will be open every second Saturday starting in May and running through September.

Try your skill at the brand-new 12 target 3-D archery range at Staunton River Battlefield State Park. This course features 10 targets at ground level and two from an elevated stand. Participants will have to use stairs to access the elevated stand. Archery equipment is limited to longbows, recurve or compound bows and field points. Crossbows and broadheads are not allowed.

This program is from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and there is a $5 per person admission to participate. The $5 fee must be paid in the Visitor Center before entering the range.

“We are excited to show off our new 3-D archery range to our guests and hope that they learn some new skills while they are here,” Staunton River Battlefield State Park Manager David Gunnells said. “The trail and course is uneven and can be muddy so it is recommended that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear.”
