Southside Virginia Community College (SVCC) welcomed Dr. Ramesha Walker as the director of practical nursing.

Dr. Walker comes to SVCC with more than 20 years of experience in the Nursing/Health care field with her most recent position as the health service administrator for Mediko Correctional Healthcare. She has also been a nursing instructor for nine years, including four years as an adjunct instructor for SVCC. She holds a D.N.P., M.S.N. and B.S.N. from Chamberlain College of Nursing and completed the PN Program at SVCC and the RN Program at John Tyler Community College.
