On Tuesday, March 22, the Randolph-Henry (R-H) Statesmen baseball team traveled to Appomattox County High School to face the Raiders.

After two innings the score was knotted up 1-1 but in the bottom of the third the Raiders rallied to score 6 runs off of 4 hits, 3 walks, and 2 errors by the Statesmen. This would be the determining factor in the game as the Statesmen would fall 8-1. Junior Powell and Colton Pillow both had two hit games.

On Tuesday, March 29, the Statesmen baseball team visited Central Lunenburg for their first district game of the season. The game started as a pitchers duel as Jett Algeier for R-H and Odarius Green from Central both threw two scoreless innings.

The basepaths would be filled in the following innings as Lunenburg put 3 runs across in the bottom of the third but the Statesmen answered back in the top of the sixth with a 6 run inning.

The Statesmen continued to put the ball in play as they scored 8 more runs in the following 3 innings. This would be enough for a Statesmen victory of 14-6.

Jett Algeier got the win and threw 5 innings with 0 walks and 4 strikeouts.

Ben Gibbs had 4 hits on the night. Additionally Brayson Arrington and Luke Skelton had a multi hit night.
