MARCH 12

YOUTH BASEBALL REGISTRATION — Wylliesburg Dixie Youth will have baseball sign-ups on Saturday, March 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign-ups will be at the Wylliesburg Dixie Youth Baseball Field located on Devin Field Lane behind the Wylliesburg Post Office. 2022 Registration Fee is $40 per Child, $35 per additional sibling. A copy of your child’s birth certificate will be needed at the time of sign up for new players.

COMMUNITY BREAKFAST — A free community breakfast spondered by United for Christ SGM Deacon Douglas Randolph will be held on Sunday, March 19, at 9 a.m. at Mossingford Baptist Church located at 3535 Saxey Road in Saxe. Drive thru and get your breakfast. Prayer with a minister will be available too.

APRIL 9

BASIC COMPUTER CLASS — Charlotte Learning Center, a nonprofit literacy organization, is offering a Basic Computers course to residents in and around Charlotte County. The course will run six weeks on Wednesdays starting April 9 from 1-3 p.m. at the center. The Center is located at 395 Thomas Jefferson Hwy, Suite B in Charlotte Court House. Space is limited. APRIL 24

COMMUNITY DAY — Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club (BSMC) will be holding a community day on Sunday, April 24, at 3 p.m. The event is being held at the Central High Museum located at 515 Thomas Jefferson Highway in Charlotte Court House. FALCONFEST FURNITURE AUCTION — The FalconFest Furniture Auction will be Saturday, May 14 at Fuqua School’s Gilmer Gym in Farmville. Preview will start at 9 a.m. The live auction begins at 10 a.m. The auctioneer is Jimmy Carwile, Carwile Auctions. All auction items donated by Green Front Furniture. This event is free and open to the public.

FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH — The First Baptist Church of Wylliesburg with the Pastor Opie Terrell Jr. will no longer be having parking lot services due to the change in weather.

AMATEUR RADIO MEETING — The Charlotte County Amateur Radio Club meets the first Sunday of the month at 1426 Estes Road in Chase City. The meeting begins at 3 p.m. Everyone is welcome. For more information, contact Jason at (434) 944-9100.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold worship service the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. Sunday school will be the first, second, third and fourth Sundays at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
