Charles Malvin Hammock, 84 of Keysville, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 11. He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Nancy; his parents, Robert and Gertrude Hammock; brothers, Bobby, Gene, Ricky, Buck and Billy and sisters, Bernice and Juanita.

He is survived by his three children, Robin Sullard (Jeff), Chuck Hammock (Esther) and Wendy Boyles (Mike); five grandchildren, Chris, Kaitlin, Amber, Allison and Kinsley; three great-grandchildren, Meadow, Devyn and Maya Jo; siblings, Virginia, Betty Jane, Ralph and Richard.

Charles was a hard-working man who lived for and loved his family and friends. He would give his shirt off his back to anyone in need. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. His favorite pastime was playing cards and spending time with his family. May God continue to richly bless each of you.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 16, in Meherrin Baptist Church, Meherrin, with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family received friends at the Browning-Duffer Funeral Home in Keysville, on Tuesday, Feb. 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
