Joyce Tuck Baughan, 83 of Crewe, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 15.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Joyce was a woman of faith and a lifetime member of Crewe Baptist Church. She was an excellent cook, avid reader and gardener, always known to grow beautiful summer flowers.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ellen Tuck; her husband, Norman W. Baughan; brother, Charles Tuck; sister, Shirley Moore and son-in-law, Mike Jackson.

She is survived by her children, Deborah Roop (Gene), Gail Jackson, Norman W. Baughan Jr. (Tammie); five grandchildren, Holly Canary (Ben), Whitney Barton (Ryan), Justin Roop (Leslie), Ashley Unger (Justin) and Chase Jackson and six great grandchildren, Kason, Averie, Allie, Rylee, Will, and Liam. She is also survived by her brother, Mickey Tuck, of Keysville.

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude and thanks to Dawn Byrd and The Byrd House staff for the compassionate, loving care given to Joyce for the past seven years.

Graveside funeral services were held 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 21, at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 2006 County Line Rd., Keysville, VA 23947. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to Crewe Baptist Church, 400 E. Virginia Ave., Crewe, VA 23930.
