Clarence Lee Gilliam, 80 of Pamplin, passed away on Dec. 21, in Lynchburg. He was the son of the late Lee Gilliam and Ethel Puryear Gilliam.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Maude Harvey Gilliam.

He is survived by five children, Vickie, ReNae, Clarence Jr., Gary and Nancy; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Martha Price of Brookneal; brother, Jerry Francis of Saxe; two daughters-in-law, Christy Gilliam and Thelma Gilliam; one brother-in-law, Edward Robertson of Pamplin; very special friend, Carolyn Skates and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m., at Zion Baptist Church in Pamplin, with interment in the church cemetery.
