FESTIVAL — Bluegrass, Barbecue, & Brew festival at Patrick Henry’s Red Hill will be held on Saturday, Nov. 6. Patrick Henry’s Red Hill is located at 1250 Red Hill Road, Brookneal. For more information on the festival and to purchase tickets visit https://bluegrassbarbecuebrew.com/tickets/.

STEW — Concord Baptist Church will host a community stew Saturday, Nov. 6, from noon-3 p.m. at the church located at 3225 Germantown Road, Charlotte Court House. The event will include a kiddie train, a cake walk, ice cream, games and a car wash. For more info call (434) 258-2272.

PASTORAL ANNIVERSARY — The St. Douglas Baptist Church in Charlotte Court House will be recognizing Pastor Wendell Brown’s 40th Anniversary during the regular worship service on Sunday, Nov. 7, at 11 am. Mask required.

NOVEMBER 20

STEW AND BAKE SALE — New Hope United Methodist Church located at 6101 Scuffletown Road, Randolph is having its annual stew and bake sale on Saturday, Nov. 20. Stewmaster is James E. Tuck. Brunswick or chicken stew for $8 per quart. Stew will be ready at 10 a.m. at the church. Pre-order by calling Callie Tucker at (434) 454-7418.

ST. ANDREWS BAPTIST CHURCH — St. Andrews Baptist Church in Cullen will hold worship service the first and third Sundays at 11 a.m. Sunday school will be the first, second, third and fourth Sundays at 9:45 a.m. The Rev. Dr. Maurice Finney is the pastor.

BEAUTIFUL PLAIN BAPTIST — Beautiful Plain Baptist Church will hold services the second and fourth Sundays at 11 a.m. at Beautiful Plain Baptist Church, Charlotte Court House until further notice.

HEBRON UNITED METHODIST — Hebron United Methodist Church in Saxe will hold in-person services at 9:45 a.m. until further notice. Masks are required to attend.

PHENIX UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Phenix United Methodist Church, 225 Church St., in Phenix will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.

MT. CARMEL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH — Mt. Carmel United Methodist Church, 1101 Mt. Carmel Road, in Brookneal will have a worship service each Sunday morning at 11 a.m. Masks and physical distancing are required. There will be no Sunday school.
