Dean Marston Roach Carwile 95 of Phenix, died peacefully on Oct. 30, with her children, Tony and Becky by her side. Dean was born in Red House on Nov. 24, 1925 to the late Malcom and Leona Marston.

She was preceded in death by her husband (52 years) Marshall H. Roach and Jack Carwile (11 years); her sisters, Nancy Hamlett and Helen Carwile and her brother, Thomas Marston.

She is survived by her son, Tony Roach (Sharon) of Phenix and Becky Sones (Steve) of Crewe; her grandchildren, Adam Roach (Rebecca), Amber Jackson (Robbie) and Jacob Sones (Maggie); her great grandchildren, Isaac and Ruth Roach, Thomas Jackson and Gabriel Sones and a sister, Merle Young (Roger).

Dean was a faithful member of Phenix Presbyterian Church. She was blessed to have lived a fulfilling life with a devoted family and many friends.

The family wishes to extend our gratitude to Wayland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the excellent care they provided and also to Centra Hospice.

A graveside service was conducted at 3 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Rough Creek Cemetery in Phenix by the Rev. Herndon Jeffreys.
