Fowlkes will work with the Red Hill team to educate, build awareness and engage the community in all aspects of Patrick Henry’s life and the impact of Red Hill on the American Revolution.

“It is an honor to be working with such great people who are doing amazing things here at Red Hill to preserve the life and legacy of Patrick Henry and all those that lived here,” Fowlkes said. “The ‘hidden treasures’ found at Red Hill have so much to offer in respect to history, and I am excited and thrilled to have the opportunity to share it with others. I think Patrick Henry would be astonished at what we are doing here.”

Fowlkes was born and raised in Virginia and was chosen for the new role as her background and approachable personality speak to the growing needs of Red Hill as it diversifies its programming and works to engage new audiences. With a degree in business administration from Southside Virginia Community College and a B.S. in strategic communications from Liberty University, Red Hill officials said they are fortunate to have Takisha Fowlkes as part of their full-time team.
